At Monkey Puzzle Stoke Newington Day nursery we pride ourselves on our emphasis on learning through play. We are a new day-nursery setting registered in November 2019*, and we are awaiting an Ofsted inspection, which is due to happen within 30 months of registration. In the meantime, we have commissioned an independent auditor to inspect our setting. Here is a selection of snippets from the inspection report:
‘Children are happy and secure and enjoy the time they spend at the nursery. Babies form close bonds with staff, who are nurturing and attentive to each child’s individual needs’
‘Children’s good health is promoted well and they enjoy healthy meals and snacks. Children know that vegetables make us big and strong and give us healthy teeth.’
‘Children are cared for in a clean, safe, and secure environment. Leaders and staff plan a variety of activities based on children’s interests and their understanding of what they need to learn next’
‘Children are happy and enthusiastically join in activities… Younger children confidently build their communication and language skills’
‘Leaders reflect well on the quality of the nursery and have a clear vision for the future. They identify areas to develop to effectively ensure continuous improvement. The nursery director and acting manager are dedicated, hands-on and strive to ensure children receive the best possible care and learning.’
We will be happy to share with you the outcome of our internal and external auditing, as well as showing samples of our plans and curriculum.

*Do not confuse us with the setting previously located at the same address under the same trading name – ownership and management have changed! The previous setting is correctly noted as closed on the Ofsted website.
